Updates

Pippa, adopted 2 years ago is turning 3.. She still loves her toys, but also doesn't mind playing with a foot from time to time!  It's nice to see her all grown up into full doghood :)

Simon, Simon, Simon... his mom posts him on intragraam from time to time so I get to keep up on his adorableness.  Adopted last year, he of course chooses a big ol' ice cube to play with... but he's so cute doing it!  I so enjoy seeing his continued goofiness that we came to know and love

Skipper (in the middle) doing fantastic with lil, but older sister on the right, Fifi and new baby fur sibling on the left!  I think he will always have a puppy face to me.

And last, but not least - I have heard from Stallone's new mom and he is quickly making himself at home... .His mom changed his name to Chase (which was his name on his previous paperwork) and is already walking so much better on his leash.  I look forward to hearing about him.. (and maybe a picture of two!)

Let's Go Out!!!

I wish I got more picture at the dog park... it was pretty windy and cold and so we were there only about an hour but Marcia had fun... We met up with former foster Skipper who is just no longer a puppy anymore and all grown up!  He is becoming quite the New Rattitude Yakima Dog Park Ambassador (long title).  Hanging out with Marcia is the 4th NR foster dog he has meet!

Marcia had a good time and even hung out with the big dogs for a bit... She gets along well with other dogs and has a pretty laid back way about her... She doesn't like to be growled at and will growl back and we have to make sure that doesn't escalate, but we didn't have any issues at the small dog park...everyone got along just fine and we even had another dog visitor that Marcia enjoyed meeting.

Skeeter came too but couldn't handle it... She just barked and ran the fence like a crazy dog barking at the dogs on the other side...Definitively not fun for her.   She was okay with everyone in the small dog park but had a lot to say to those big dogs accross the way!  Cassie came to get her, but I wanted to try and see how she would do though I had a feeling...   Dog parks stresses Sasha out too.  I'm glad I'm fostering again cause I missed the dog park with my two non dog park gals!

She also met my dad and Cassie's boyfriend this weekend and was like "yeah, new people to get pets from!"  She was maybe a little nervous getting pets at first but warmed up quickly.

The closest way we can get Skeeter to enjoy a belly rub.. looks awkward but she was just stretched out, head down and enjoying herself... :)

More amazing news on the Sasha and Skeeter front... Sasha actually came down and laid very close to Skeeter for a nap... I love this picture of Sasha's fluffy tail laying over Skeeter like a blanket... I continue to just watch these two get more and more closer to each other - makes me happy :)

Making New Friends

Took Sylvester to meet up with former foster Skipper at the dog park... they have this little area fenced off area for small dogs that is never used... it was a good place for Sylvester to get outside and meet another small dog without getting crazy.... He isn't too sure about those bigger dogs anyway..they make him nervous....

I didn't get a lot of pictures (phone died) but they play a bit with each other and of course played pee wars with even Skippers tiny sister Fifi joining in.

Skipper is doing well, growing, but still have that sweet puppy face... I even got him to trust me enough to hold him and enjoyed some snuggles.  Sylvester really has a nice mellow dog manner about him and he enjoyed himself, meeting new people and getting extra pets!

Thanks to Vana and Keira for bring their pups out for a playdate!

Mulder had a date!

Mulder got to get back to the dog park - first time since about 3 weeks before his surgery!  We started at our new dog park and just stuck to the small dog area since he's stilling healing.   Best news... we set up a playdate with Skipper, who I fostered last year when he was just a small pup and his sibling, tiny fox terrier Fifi!

Mulder did great!  He's always happy to put his harness on (even helps you by putting his head in) but then acts likes a crazy man when you can't latch it fast enough cause he's so excited, by rolling around which is the exact opposite of being helpful.  When we first got there in the late afternoon (still pretty warm outside, but with a nice breeze) we were the only ones there and he just got to run the entire length... It was nice to see. Still fast and just happy to be there...

Him and Skipper got along great and played a bit.. They both wanted to be chased rather than the chaser... dog politics.. but it's okay.. .it was too hot to get too crazy. Fifi hung out with them a bit, but she likes to hang with her people and I got to cuddle her lots!  Skipper was a little worried about both me and Cassie, but we won him over a little bit and got to hold him and get some cuddles in too!  He sure is growing up!

Getting kisses from Skipper!

Skipper and Mulder in a nice meet.. ears up, tails up...

Skipper, FiFi and Mulder hanging out...

Some cute pictures too, where Mulder finally won Skipper over and play began... It took some moves, but Mulder got him interested with a little rolling and gentle pleading... how could Skipper resist?

Thanks Vana and Kiera for letting Skipper and FiFi come out and play!

More Updates...

Spyro - who is now Gizmo - living in Oregon and loving life with his new family.  He still wakes up in the am greeting his family with his unique howls (which we still remember very fondly).

Spencer and his new buddy Baxter... they may be xtra small and extra big, but they get along great and he's doing super well with his new family.

And baby Skipper with his new BFF Fiona.. he's really not a puppy anymore and his ears are all grown up!

Feebs - Phoebe;  who used to be Savannah adopted June 2013.  She is doing well and while she doesn't like the cold, she likes to snuggle under the blankets as much as possible.  Her family speaks of her intellegence and loyalty.  She's come a long way under their care being being pretty scared and nervous to a wonderful companion to her family!

Next picture, I want to see Spencer snuggling in between these two!!!

Skipper too has settled in with his Yakima family - so much so he has both ears completely up and look at them... huge!!!  Him and fur-sister look like they were enjoying Halloween!

Sheriff
He is now Max and after a scary medical issue, it's good to see him recovered and doing well.  He even got to go on an airplane and show off his cute self at the airport.... So glad to see him looking good and growing up with his family!

Updates on Tucker, Sylvia and Skipper!

Skipper is loving his new family and his little sister Fiona too... He instantly got ear envy from her and has been holding one ear up pretty constantly and they think the second ear is going to follow soon.  Way to go little man!

Tucker, who was adopted in 2011 and also living in Yakima just recently sent me some pictures and an update.. He's doing great, gets to go camping and enjoys chasing chipmunks!  They just celebrated his 5th birthday!  I love this picture below because he was very wary of men and his new dad when first adopted, but you can see, he's not scared at all now!

Last but not least is little Rue (formally Sylvia) adopted this June continues to make progress with her mom Renae... It's been two months and now Rue is jumping up into her mom's lap regularly for snuggles.  She has a favorite sun spot and has to taken to stealing her mom's garden gloves whenever she can!  She has taken a couple trips into town with great success and will be heading to the beach next week.... What fun for her!  I love hearing her progress and how she is continuing to come out of her shell and being more playful.

I'm Adopted!!!

It is any surprise that Skipper has found his forever home so quickly?   He is staying in Yakima and is getting a fur-subling name Fiona!   He met her and even settled in for a snuggle with her and his new mom!  He got good times in store for him!

Sleepy Skips

He's found himself a favorite spot...burrowing in between pillows and settling in for a nap... he looked pretty comfy to me!

Skipper was VERY curious about the spotbot... He kept close eye on this machine (that was going to work because of a coffee stain - (it gets quite the work out from coffee spills versus pet spills!  haha) but no barking... just a watching.... however when the vacumn came out, he ran for the hills!
