More Updates...

Spyro - who is now Gizmo - living in Oregon and loving life with his new family.  He still wakes up in the am greeting his family with his unique howls (which we still remember very fondly).

Spencer and his new buddy Baxter... they may be xtra small and extra big, but they get along great and he's doing super well with his new family.

And baby Skipper with his new BFF Fiona.. he's really not a puppy anymore and his ears are all grown up! 

Feebs - Phoebe;  who used to be Savannah adopted June 2013.  She is doing well and while she doesn't like the cold, she likes to snuggle under the blankets as much as possible.  Her family speaks of her intellegence and loyalty.  She's come a long way under their care being being pretty scared and nervous to a wonderful companion to her family!

Foster Updates

 Spencer
 He is busy getting to know his new people and fur-siblings.. and so far, everything has been great and he has settled in fine... He sure has a BIG brother in Baxter!

Next picture, I want to see Spencer snuggling in between these two!!!

Skipper
 Skipper too has settled in with his Yakima family - so much so he has both ears completely up and look at them... huge!!!  Him and fur-sister look like they were enjoying Halloween!

Sheriff   
He is now Max and after a scary medical issue, it's good to see him recovered and doing well.  He even got to go on an airplane and show off his cute self at the airport.... So glad to see him looking good and growing up with his family!

Sidney   Adopted in January of last year and now Aela, her family also adopted Neon, now Rowan... When their parents got married, they got to be flower girls!  Wow, they are no longer puppies!  Lucky girls and what a great day they got to be part of!  Congrats to all of you!

Saul  Adopted in 2011, here he is, happy that the UPS left a package... happier still that the UPS man is gone!  

Love my foster updates!  Sorry I missed a few but I do love getting them and seeing once down on their luck dogs, getting the lives they deserve! 

I'm Adopted!!!

Sweet little Spencer has gotten himself a family!  He's soon heading off to Kennewick and is going to have dog and kitty siblings!  I'm sure the transition will be a little scary for him, but his new parents got lots of love in store for him and fun times ahead ... and obedience school too! 

Laundry Day

Did a bunch of laundry and who learned the joys of warm towels out of the laundry for a snuggle?  Spencer was in heaven! 

 

 I get the feeling Skittles already new the joys of a snuggle in fresh warm laundry!

Skittles is on his way home... the two never did play together in the short week they were together... I think Spencer is a little too bouncy and in eager for Skittles, but they did share space fine and enjoyed some running around together in the yard... See ya later Skitttles!  Thanks for the wonderful snuggles of your little self!

Please Play with me!

Spencer would love to play and can be kind of punky about it... Skittles isn't so sure of Spencer but he's coming around and can be in the same space... We just have to be sure to help Spencer back off when Spencer has had enough... They are cute together though and they do like to run outside together!

Zen of the Bully Sticks

We have a guest dog for the week... Mr. Skittles and while for the most part everyone is getting along, Spencer wants to play sometimes and thinks barking will make that happen, Skittles doesn't want to and doesn't like being barked at growls and then Sasha feels the need to police the situation.   Bless you people with your 3 plus dogs households.  Three very distinct personalities going on... However... as we enter day three, everyone is feeling some comfortable and settling into a routine...to help that along... out came the bully stitcks to just bring some quiet time and there's nothing like bully sticks to peace and calmness to a house...

They got their prizes and everyone split off to a separate places to get their chew on...

Good news is that everyone enjoyed their bully sticks and no one tried to steal anyone's... And then they all had some full tummy and were in good moods...

Sun Spotting

Spencer enjoying a rest in the car after a two mile walk with Cassie in the morning...  He loves going on walks!

Playtime!

Spencer has a pretty sit!  He's doing really well and is really starting to get it the whole - sit for treats business!

He also loves himself some playtime with Cassie... He's learning not to be skittish and that we are safe and just wanting to play and it's all good times with us...

 His playing has really started to come up.. .He showing more energy and running around... He is really starting to got playing with toys with you (though he plays by himself too).

More cute pictures from the weekend... We also worked on sit and he's getting so close, he just gets a little crazy for the treats but he'll get it and when he does, I think he'll be sitting all the time!...  and he's loving the nose work which we do in the garage so each dog can have private time... He even went by the garage door and gave a bark this weekend.. like... come on!  let's do this!  Smart Boy!

 

Last Days of Summer...

Beautiful day outside so we spend some time in the back yard just playing... Spencer likes grass being thrown at him and it jazzed him up and we got some good rattie runs out of him...  It was fun seeing him relaxed and just enjoying himself... no worries...

Happy Spence!

Why so happy Spence?  I think it's because he jumped on the couch and rolled over and asked Cassie for a belly rub!  He's also been working hard on learning "sit" and is getting pretty good at it too! 

We've just started on teaching him some "nosework" (nose work encourages your dog's natural drive to hunt, coupled with their special talent for picking up scents and finding their source) with boxes out in the garage... He sure is having fun finding treats in boxes!  

Pet Store Time!

Took Mr. Spencer to the big Pet Store... He was a little nervous but up for exploring this big store!   He just needed to take his time.   He would get a little shy when people would walk by and hide behind me, but then peek out... and then come out for a sniff, pet and what.. no treat?  (but yes, I had treats :)). 

 What he didn't agree to was a kitty cat panda hat...but I think he look pretty adorable! 

He did good -  he just needs to used to the hustle and bustle... a few more times and i think he will be a champ at being in this busy place.
