I'm Adopted!

Yes, Lovely Sonya has found her self a person to call her own... She is off to meet her new mom today and is off to go live in Seattle and there is lots of fun stuff in store for her...   I'm gonna miss this tender-hearted little one but am so excited for her to start her new amazing life which is what she deserves!

Belly Scratches to make it better!

Neck Scratching Time!

Sonya loves a good neck scratching whenever she can get it... Cassie's so nice, she lifts up her collar so she can really give her a good neck massage...though I think she likes to make Sonya where her collar on her head too... And it is kind of cute...   Sonya enjoyed it so much she gave Cassie kisses! 

I think that is one happy puppy who enjoyed her neck scratching/massage!

Bossy Sonya

Busy day for Sonya on Saturday - She and Sutton went to to the dog park for one last play before Sutton headed home... She was bossy with the other dogs (a couple of bigger Shepard mixes and a beagle) who wanted to come up and meet her (and the beagle wanted to mount her) but once they gave her space she was able to relax a bit and wandered around and not feel the need to be so bossy with them...   She worries I think about the bigger dogs  - though at my friends house who has two very nice Shepard, she does fine and doesn't growl at them, but doesn't play with them and prefers to keep her space...

Later, after they left, her and Sutton wandered around and when two other smaller dogs came in, she warmed up to them quite quicker. and was interested in them. but too soon it was time to go...   Goodbyes were given to Sutton who is on his way to Oregon with a new human sister and family... We will miss him, but a good things are in store for him!

Once back home, Sonya was exhausted from the trip, excitement and play so it was nap time for her... It was nice to snuggle with her and then she wanted to go under the covers for a nice cozy warm sleep!

Happy Day for Sutton!

Look how happy Sutton is - he's going home with his new family and with his new fancy adult teeth!  We are going to miss this little spunky guy but such good things are in store for him!

Ever since we got Sonya the bunny fur toy (which she still loves) she has started to also play with the other toys... She even has started to play tug with Sutton!  It's nice to see her get her play on and just have relaxing fun!

Hanging out at Sherman Park!

Cassie took Sutton and Sonya to the dog park on Tuesday for some off leash fun.  Most dogs are pretty big but we thought they would do fine and it would be a positive day out for them.

Sonya didn't care too much for the big dogs and preferred getting treats and pets from all the people.  She didn't mind meeting and sniffing them, but was a little growly  if they got to close to Sutton or Cassie.  So, she mainly stuck around all the humans, watched the crazy dogs run around and did fine. 

Sutton did lots of running around, by himself and with the other dogs.  A  little wary of the big dogs too, but he warmed up to them.. He checked in a lot with Cassie and Sonya.  He came home super tired and  one dirty boy!

Sleepy Times!

 Sutton loves to find himself a cozy spot on my lap and half under the laptop.. It's probably nice and toasty and it puts him right to sleep!

Sonya loves to cuddles, both with you and under the blankets, but she also likes to find her own comfortable place for a snooze too.. Here she has found Cassie's blanket up on the arm of the couch, which has a great vantage point and is settling in for a nap!

Lovin the Sunshine!

The dogs sure had fun today soaking up the rays and snoozing in the nice sunshine...  I don't normally let the dogs in this area, but I haven't started to do anything with the area yet and it's where the sun was..so what the heck, I'm a pushover..

Sutton did help himself to gnawing on some grass, eating some bark... though he didn't really eat it, just brought it in the house and left bark crumbs everywhere...  Sonya preferred just to snooze on the warm dirt soaking up the sun rays... It was really a peaceful afternoon...

We also have guests all weekend... My dad came over on Saturday and after a brief bit of nervousness, Sonya was happy to meet him.. Sutton a little more worried about this new person hanging in the house.    Today, another friend stopped by, and both dogs were won over by treats, with again, Sutton hanging back by Cassie (unless treats were being offered), but within the hours, he did come up for some pets (and to see if there were more treats).   While he does great out and about meeting people, he's just a bit more cautious in his own environment.  I'm sure treats and positive interactions will show him that guests are good things!

Sutton has started a new crazy cute thing...crazy spins while I'm making their dinner.. He's just so excited I think..

Sutton is Growing Up

Sutton has lost some of his baby teeth... the front bottom ones... Who knows where they went, but they aren't there now...

 
His top front teeth are loose too.. Aww... Baby Sutton is growing up, still a puppy but getting bigger!  We had to loosen his collar to a few days ago... And speaking of... he went to the doggie door all by himself yesterday without any help from the other dogs or us... didn't go out it, but thought about it - so close!

He also has the funniest play bow when trying to get Sonya (or Sasha) to play... Come see it!

Tails and Tail Chasers!

Sonya bootie!  She's got a tail that she loves to wag and wag fiercely... She's also a full body wiggler too...she wags her tail so hard sometimes it makes her whole body wiggle!

Sutton can get such a serious look on his face sometimes... but mostly he's just a happy, running around little puppy!  He also has great love on the tail chaser toy... I think he would play, chase and chew on it all day if I had the time... See video Sutton and the Tail Chaser!

Doggie Stares...

Love me!  She's trying to hypnotize me with her stares... when it didn't work, she tried an ear lift...she kept going with the ears up and down until I gave in... She's so goofy sweet...

 Belly rubs ensued!

Then it was Sutton's turn!  He's really coming along... He's starting to use the doggie door, he has learned sit and we are working on stay... Often when the other dogs going tearing outside after some noise, Sutton stays behinds for cuddles and one on one attention!

Sonya's belly rubs are over and she is investigating Sutton's toy.. he looks annoyed and like he wants me to help get his toy back!  They actually both ended up nibbling on it until they got to playing with eatch other.. :)
