Snow Playground

So Frankie has mostly been inside or running errands with me - we had so much snow on the ground it was impossible for him to play outside.    However; now the snow has melted down - and while there is still a foot of snow on the ground - it's got a ice covering on it that is perfect for 7 lb Frankie to play on!  He's sooooo much happier! I also throw snowballs out in the yard for him to chase - which is great fun for him.... then he started bringing his snowball prizes in the house!    I'm just happy he has more room to play and run around.  Frankie Plays in the Snow

Can't have him getting chilly from all his snow play!!!

We also went for another trip to the pet store - he is doings much better in the car, not being so scared and worried.  Good in the pet store too, just not ready to meet people yet; but loving the pup cups he gets for being so brave!!!

As of today - more snow - but that's not stopping Frankie one bit!  Frankie in today's snow!

Frankie gets his howl on

Frankie definitely has had enough of the snow - he needs room to play!   Luckily I found that he loves chasing what I call the tail chaser.... Keep him busy; run some energy out - until someday I have a yard that isn't full of 3 feet of snow.    Here is a video:  Frankie chasing the tail toy   ,   Pretty hard to take a video and play with him; but he can really go sooooo fast!

Another discovery - Frankie likes to howl!  And what a cute little breathless howl he has!  Frankie gets his howl on

Also during the snow days - we have been practicing sit (which he has down pat) and "pretty" which is what he did when he first got her for sit (which is a beg position) - so Ive worked on separating the two skills.  And now we have move on to spin.   He's a fast learner and he loves the treats!

We ended the week with some errands - went to the pet store again - he's pretty nervous in the car still; but did well in the smaller pet store - but then was too nervous to enjoy the treat I got him until he got home.  however, a stop at Starbucks for a pup cup

Snow Days

Frankie loves the snow!!!! He did lots of running around in it when it was just a few inches.   However, he doesn't love it when it's taller than him which is what has happened and put an end to him playing it is.    Happy to say though, he doesn't mind going outside for potties which is great.  Video of Frankie playing in the snow ——> Frankie snow days

He really loves to snuggle with his foster sister, Skeeter.  She's not that sure of him but she tolerates napping with him - they are pretty cute together - like ying and yang.   I'm working on getting them to play together cause if Skeeter's in the right mood - she'll play tug.   He would so like a dog to play with him!  He's very friendly and sweet with other dogs.

Frankie's Busy Week

Frankie continues to just be a playful puppy who just wants to play and snuggle.  He has designated a spot on the couch where he likes to nibble his toys.

He also got his neuter on Thursday and SEVEN baby teeth removed.  He was pretty tired and not feeling good for sure.    But by Friday, he was back to his cheerful self like nothing had happened.

His adult teeth grew in right behind his baby teeth so they were all still in there.  His lower jaw is good too - the vet said a little crowded, but not too bad and nothing needed to be pulled since they didn't want to mess up his bite.

And Saturday we went to a big pet store - He was pretty nervous in the car (probably though he was headed to the vet again!) and the big store was a bit overwhelming when there were lots of people around.  He was really interested in meeting little kids and little dogs but not big people and big dogs.   He just needs practice to gain confidence.

He got  pig ear for a treat.  He really likes nibbling on it and doesn't have any issues.
