Pippa
Living the good life down in Oregon with mom and dad. She's got it rough as you can see.
She was especially loved on by my dad; he just couldn't resist her charms. This cames up in my reminder feed from July 2015 from when I was dog watching her. Not many dogs got in face licks but she is special!
Tucker
Look at Tucker - adopted in 2011 - I snagged this photo off of facebook... I can't believe it's been almost 7 years since he was adopted. What a lucky happy boy he is!
Mina
Mina too looks like she is having a great summer; relaxing in the backyard with mom and new clothes too boot! Yay!!! Lookin' good Mina!

Out and About!
Another visit to the small park area and meet up with Tucker... We thought maybe they would play since they have before when Tucker was visiting, but it was of a sniff and check out the surroundings and being mellow kind of day... Perfect fall weather though... The bigger dog park area was super busy today; I'm glad we have this smaller area!
Tucker's mom in the background.... :) We also made a quick stop at Pet Pantry so some yummy treats... Sylvester was such a gentleman except when he stole a low lying treat in the bulk area, but we bought some since he liked them so much... He deserved it!
Fence greeting lots of bigger dogs... no barking or anything (which was great).....

Sylvester Arrives....
So Sylvester is finally here! He's sweet as can be and has a cute little wiggle walk that I want to try to get on video. He's seems to have made it through the transport without much issue and kept me company for most of the day on a dog better until he found an egg baby and chased it all over the house....Did not really appreciate me wanting to play throw with the egg babies. He's showing some house training skills and seems like a pretty mellow good natured little guy.
I also have good buddy Tucker here this week and while they aren't insant BFF's - there is some play between them as long as Tucker doesn't get too crazy- they do enjoy exploring the back yard together and engaging in pee wars... Sasha is busy ignoring the both of them and their silly ways :)
I took Tucker to the dog park to hopefully wear him out a little bit before Sylvester came and he made buddies with this cute little mix named Lucy... He likes dogs his size versus the big ones that I think scare him a little bit. (I'll be glad when they get grass put in at this new park!)

Tucker goes home!
Tucker went home this Wed and boy, when he heard his dad's truck pull up, he knew and got so excited and jumpy (and do you see that cute little heart he's got on his backside? too cute). It was nice having him, but it was great seeing him excited to be with his people again. We had a good time together and trips to the petstore and dog park to keep him busy. I would like to think he had a good time ;)

Sylvester is coming to town!!!
So my newest foster will be arriving at the end of the month around the 27th and he's a cutie for sure... so spotty! The breaks been nice but sooo quiet! I don't know about Sasha, but I'll enjoy a little more activity in the house with a new foster :)
And I've got a visitor this week... Good ol' Tucker who I fostered back in 2011 has come for a visit for a few days... Its good to see him and get to know him again... A little nervous when he arrived on Saturday but by Sunday he was playing with us... he still runs to the door when he hears a noise though... I think he's anxiously awaiting his parents return which will be this Wed! He's sooo handsome! It's good to see him doing so well and be so loved. :)

Playdate time!
Took Sparrow back to the dog park to hang out... She did good...it was busier this time; quite a few dogs there... a little barking; but it was mostly at people - her version of hi I think... A little teeth and growl at some bigger dogs that kind of had her sandwiched in between them... Easily diffused before it got out of hand... she's easily distracted onto new things so it's easy to move her out of there but you gotta keep an eye on her if she's getting nervous... There was an argument with some other dogs and she wanted to join in on the barking but treats and quick grab of her kept her out of the way...
.
At the end of our visit; she met Hercules and finally go to get her play on... They ran and chased and seemed to really be into each other... It was pretty cute to see...I knew she could do it!
But the real reason we came was to see TUCKER! Tucker was one of my first dogs in my 1st year of fostering and lives in Yakima... He's a bigger RT - about 16 lbs and 6 years old now. While him and Sparrow didn't really play together, they hung out and Sparrow seemed to enjoy following him... He's an energetic boy and it was good to see him and hear about him. He's got great parents and is a lucky boy. He's as handsome as ever and boy, still the jumper!! I didn't get as nearly as many pictures of him as I wanted, but he enjoyed checking out the park; doing some fence patrolling with Sparrow and then it was all about the critters when he found out they were hanging out in the branches of the trees! Great video of him getting amped about the critters and Sparrow not sure what was going on but wanting to be part of the action! ----->Critter Huntin video

Updates on Tucker, Sylvia and Skipper!
Skipper is loving his new family and his little sister Fiona too... He instantly got ear envy from her and has been holding one ear up pretty constantly and they think the second ear is going to follow soon. Way to go little man!
Tucker, who was adopted in 2011 and also living in Yakima just recently sent me some pictures and an update.. He's doing great, gets to go camping and enjoys chasing chipmunks! They just celebrated his 5th birthday! I love this picture below because he was very wary of men and his new dad when first adopted, but you can see, he's not scared at all now!
Last but not least is little Rue (formally Sylvia) adopted this June continues to make progress with her mom Renae... It's been two months and now Rue is jumping up into her mom's lap regularly for snuggles. She has a favorite sun spot and has to taken to stealing her mom's garden gloves whenever she can! She has taken a couple trips into town with great success and will be heading to the beach next week.... What fun for her! I love hearing her progress and how she is continuing to come out of her shell and being more playful.

Tucker Update
Tucker, fostered in August 2011 - he was an owner surrender, very sad story that led him to needing a new home. The poor thing really didn't understand all the changes that were happening to him but he slowly started to come out his shell with me... Well long story short, a family in Yakima found him and made them part of his family and he has just been blossoming over the past almost two years with them.
He was very wary of men but his new dad was so patient and willing to go Tucker's speed that he won him over through time and trust. He's still wary of men sometimes, but not of his dad anymore and they are best friends! (awww).
He gets to "GO" for rides in his dad's truck and in the 5th wheel for camping trips. He is definitely part of the family, he loves to run in the yard and be chased by the baby who has learned to run after him. He is his dad's best friend and his mom's protector, They love love him to death and he has surely found his "furever home" in the house and in their hearts.
Makes fostering all worth it - to able to connect Tucker to these wonderful people!

Saul and Tucker Updates
Saul is settling well and has gotten rid of his growlies with new people. He even got to stay with a friend for over a week while his mom was out of town and was the perfect house guest. Wonderful to see him settling so well and being a happy confident dog.
Tucker is also doing awesome. He has now decided that his dad is his BFF and has gotten over his fear. He was so nervous of men but has learned that they are good people too. He has mellowed a bit over the past few months as he's settled in and loves the new grandbaby too. Way to go Tucker!

Happy New Year!
My first year as a foster parent is here... 7 dogs in 7 months. What a wonderful experience it has been. I have been honored to be part of each of these dogs journey into their furever home. And thanks to all the New Rattitude people for all the kindness and support this past year and the Washington team..I couldn't have done it without them! and last but not least, and especially my daughter Cassie, who has been such a great help with these dogs, especially the playing part!

Sebastian, Tucker and Susie Updates
Got lots of updates this past week...
Sebastian, my very first foster is doing really well and has joined a doggie training class to work on recall. Ryan adores him and is now working on cutting back some on his food as he's gained a little "winter weight".
Tucker is also doing great here in Yakima and is becoming best buddies with Ron and will curl up by him for naps... (Tucker was very wary of him when he was first adopted)... He has attempted the hobby of chewing shoes and plastic garbage can but his new parents are showing him there are much better things to chew on...
Susie who was just recently adopted is settling in after an eventful start... She is quickly showing her new parents that she is the master squeaker destroyer of all squeaker toys....
Here is to a Happy Holiday season to all the dogs I've fostered this year... (including, Shelby, Shelly and Saul too!) and to a wonderful new year with their fur-ever families!

Shelby Update!
Guess who is is having a fabulous life? Shelbs as she is now called, is living the good life with her adoptive family in Renton and has really come out of her shell. She is getting all the love and attention she deserves, going out to new places like football games and dog parks and is even getting confident enough to greet other dogs! And sporting a fab pink harness to boot!
Little Shelby when I got her, was breeder dog that was surrendered to a shelter, was under socialized, under weight, super scared and you just couldn't give her enough attention. Now she is gaining confidence and learning to not be fearful and that she is loved (and a little spoiled too as she deserves) and can enjoy her life.
Yeah for Shelby and her wonderful family!
I also heard from Tucker's family last week and he is settling in and loved by his new family. I'm hoping for pictures soon!
