Updates (Stella, Sheriff, Saul and Sandy)

Stella, now Margo was adopted this past December... She is living in Yakima and has settled into her home and routine and is doing wonderfully!

 Look at that sweet girl with her sibling Bear... They are quite the pair, tearing around the house and the yard playing chase. 

Sheriff, now Max, just adopted last month and is also enjoying his new home and family... He's got human siblings to keep him busy and run his puppy energy out!  He's going to have a great life! 

And sweet handome Saul who was adopted  in 2011 is living the good life with his mom and trying to look innocent to his digging ways! (I totally believe him, don't you?!)

And Sandy who was adopted in February.  She is living down in Portland , doing super and getting to play with new friends at the local dog park! 

I'm Adopted!

So you all knew it had to happen.. but Stella has found her home and wait for it... It's in YAKIMA!!!!  We get to still be neighbors (sorta)... She is going to a couple of wonderful parents and not one dog sibling, but three!  two are her size and shape even!  There is a cat and also some chickens!  She's got to meet her new parents and sibling already and did great.. a little nervous but great!  And her new backyard is big and awesome!  She's going to be one happy little girl and well loved!  and early Happy Christmas to her!

Here she is checking out the Christmas tree with one of her siblings... tail down.. a little nervous, but it's coming up... It's so cute, they are the same size!  His name is Bear.. he is a terrier mix... beautiful eyes! I wish I had gotten more picutres of all of them.. It's an adorable family that Stella is getting!

And too not stay sad for too long.. a new foster will be arriving next weekend... Sandy is a 1 year

CassieTime

Stella is quite the fan of my daughter Cassie.  Sometimes the foster dogs prefer one over the other, and while she likes me, she is quite enamored with all things Cassie.  Cassie also gets her out of the crate each morning and gives her breakfast and then playtime.. I'm sure that goes a long way but whenever Cassie is gone and then comes back, she is just happy to see Cassie!

Snoozefest!

Stella in an extra adorable sleeping position... on my jacket, head on a pillow on the couch.. I was sitting on the flloor right in front of her.. She looked so comfy!  We had just gotten back from an outing and she was tired and it was warm and cozy in the house...

Stella can really sleep hard sometimes... and sometimes she twitches, sometimes she makes little chirpy noises, sometimes we get both and then of course, sometimes nothing... Last night, when I heard a couple deep heavy sighs from her while napping... I brought the video out... it was a twitchy nap!   It's normal for dogs to do this and it looks like REM sleep to me with the eye movement.  It didn't last long and then she was off to stillness dreamland..

Cuddle Buddies

Stella loves a nap and cuddle so when her and Cassie fell asleep together, I had to bring out the camera.  

She was done napping before Cassie and then started to use her hypno eyes to get me to play 

 I couldn't take it anymore, so off we went to play!

 Here Stella is suffering the indignity of a hair bow on her ear.   She doesn't like it, but she looks pretty adorable!  Inside, I'm sure she's saying "Thanks for the ear bow Cassie, I'm gorgeous!"

 

Stella facts:

When you go outside with her, she runs and jumps at the same time, runs away, back to you and away again... Just a happy girl bounding about. 

She also makes cute little noises when she's excited for treats!  She's pretty expressive in personality and voice, though not too much of a barker (though my own little yapper can get her to bark at whatever... it's only a bark, then back to you and or back to exploring!

Post Thanksgiving...

Stella enjoy a Thanksgiving meal - frozen pumpkin, turkey stock and vegetables! YUMMM

 I like to think this looks like she's doing a Snoopy Dance cause her belly's full and she's having a good thanksgiving holiday!

 So full, we even got an ear stand! 

All Creatures Big and Small

Well Sunday was a fun night for Stella...

She met a gerbil... She pushed at his ball, sniffed, was interested but not overly so...

Big dogs, Sheriff and Sadie... She was a little worried about them, but again not overly so.. I think she would get use to them in time.  She was nervous at the butt sniffing and her tail was down and curled as far as it could go, but soon she managed a stealth sniff or two when they weren't looking!

She met Molly the cat... Nervous about her (rightfully so) but completely over-reacted when Molly just gave the small hiss.. She yelped and ran for the hills (the cat wasn't even close to her!)

I didn't get pictures but she had another little girl to play with and give kisses too.  She loved on my friend Amber and even gave a kiss or two to her husband.   She was a tired puppy when we got home!

Stella's new toy

Stella's new toy video <------ Stella found a new toy that she just loves and spent most of the day playing with... It's a little red ball that makes kitty noises (it's a cat toy btw)... She spent most of the time playing with it by herself, but she was more than game when Cassie joined in.  In the video, you hear Sasha barking a lot too. What you can't hear, is the neighbor dog whining in his yard... I think she is trying to tell him to be quiet!

Time to curl up in a ball and rest after all that playing!

Attitude!

I made this cute little oragami wreath and i thought... how cute would it be if i could get Stella right in the middle.  She was hanging out in her doggie bed and it took a bit of spinning of the wreath, but voila!  I got it.. I was like.. awww... that's so cute!

Then I was looking closer at the picture and look at her expression!  I can't believe she was sticking her tongue out at me!  I guess she was not impressed by my wreath! little bugger!

A friend of Cassie came over last night and not only was Stella friendly as could be, she let Dessie hold her and wasn't nervous at all!  It's nice to see this little one relaxing and enjoying herself!

Whazzup!

Look how cute Stella is!  She is wanting attention cause I"m making cards and she is bored!  Time to go outside and play and even though it's cold, she doesn't mind a bit!  She does't really understand the fetching, but she likes to run around and play chase!

Tasty Treat Time

Gave Stella a tasty bone to gnaw on and she was in heaven.  It was fun to just watch her....

And it turns out she will snuggle under the covers if its cold enough and it was plenty cold last night so under the blanket she went for a warm-snooze!

Strike a Pose!

She sure is a cutie and is getting into modeling for me when the camera comes out!  

She is using the doggie door on a regular basis and I would say she is 95% house trained.  While she still gets a little startled at loud noises, she isn't nearly as nervous around us the normal stuff that goes on during in the house.  She has really come a long way in the two weeks she's been part of the household and I am really proud of her!

Snug as a Bug

I wrapped Stella up in a robe and she was so content to just stay there and she even fell asleep all snug as a bug!  While she doesn't like to be under the covers, she's all for being cocooned!

 She had dinner and then I think showed her belly to see if it would get her a free refill!  That didn't work so she got up close to see cute puppy eyeballs would work.. It might have worked... I will never tell!

Stella has a BFF

 Iss came for a visit again this weekend.  Her and Stella are best buds especially when it comes to playing with the tailchaser!  (finally got picture this time!).  They played and even snuggled together.  Stella was a happy girl to have her friend back again!  

She did some sitting for Isa too, to earn treats and just about followed her where ever she went.  I think she forgot all about me as her BFF was in the house.
