Dog Day Afternoon

Sammy and Skittles got to visit the dog park this Saturday and both had a lot of fun.  Sammy made buddies with Violet who even though was a lot bigger than he was, was a great playmate for him.  They chased and ran around.  Sammy got accidentally "rolled" a few times by Violet but that didn't faze him one bit (and earned him a bath when he got home), he just got up and was ready to play some more.  He was sad when Violet left. 

I have figured out Skittles a bit too.  He's a bit reactive around other dogs but I held him for about 10 minutes and then he was ready to get down and explore.  Not as playful with Violet or the other dog, but not anxious and barky either.  I think he just needed to see that they weren't a threat.

Skittles and Sammy had the run of the place after while and they had fun exploring and running around - two tired puppies when I got home!
