Grass for Sylvester!

So Sylvester does not like the taste of grass!  bleh he says!  

Soooo not impressed....He knows it's not a treat!  

We just spent some time in the back yard enjoying the last of the nice days that are having... They will be over so soon... Sylvester is such a fun, playful dog... He just likes his tiny tennis balls and we had fun throwing them and him bringing them back...  And he has the cutest eyeballs!  :)

AND THEN LOTS OF BELLY RUBS!

 This little boy loves being petted for sure... He will ask you by nuzzling his head against you, kind of saying, pretty pretty please! 

Sorta Buddies

Skittles is heading home today and while these two didn't interact together much or play... Skittles choice, not Sylvester's... they did fine together and Sylvester really enjoyed/s the dashes outside whenever Skittles or Sasha hears something outside worth investigating...  I do believe he would do really well with a well manner dog that would be interested in playing...

 Fun having Skittles this week -  I enjoyed all the cuddling which I think is his favorite thing!

Joy of the Tennis Ball!

So Sylvester doesn't know how to play fetch very well..that is, till we brought out the tiny tennis ball and then the fun began!  Turns out he loves tiny tennis balls... fetches, rolls on them, just holds them in his mouth looking all proud and then a drop and a gaze of "please throw the tiny tennis ball again" and he's off again.    I'm glad I found the interactive toy finally that he likes!    He

 He is pretty amped up about the tiny tennis balls... #1 toy for sure!

 He is now burrowing under the covers for naptimes as the weather gets chilly and to date, no accidents in the house and uses the doggie door as he pleases.  We are working on sit and no jumping as he gets very excited about food, visits and well... just about anything!  He's a smart cookie - he will get it.  We are also going to introduce food puzzles to him cause I think he will really enjoy those!

Fan of the Toes!

Sylvester has a foot fetish... He thinks they are toys and that they are tasty!  He's sweet about it; but be warned if you go around him without socks!  And speaking of socks... I found two out in the backyard... I'm pretty sure it's Mr. LickyFeet who is responsible! 

 I found that I can can give him neck scratches with my toes and he thinks that pretty fantastic!  The boy is a sucker for a good good neck scratch under any circumstance.  He very sweetly will come up to your hands and rub them all over his face and neck, just saying pretty please, give me scritches!  It's hard to resist!

Vet Time

So a quick trip to the vet for Mr. Sylvester... He got to meet some baby kitties that were up for adoption in the waiting room and other than a sniff, he wasn't interested in them in all. He was interested in getting pets from all the staff and they were happy to oblige.

 In the waiting room he was a little nervous while we were waiting, but he just need some reassurance and then he was comfortable enough to check out his surroundings... I love his kissy spot on the top of his head! 

 Why we were there was because he was favoring his right hind leg and I thought I felt a bump there... The vet checked it out and isn't worried about the lump - said it was normal tissue (figures, I over panicked looiking for a reason for the limp), but did recommend restricting his activity and giving him some glucosamine to rest that knee and ACL and give it time to get better... So that's what we are going to do and hopefully we will see improvement in short order.. 

Pet Store Buds

Little Skittleman is visiting me for the week while his mom is on a business trip... He meet Sylvester before - his mom actually help with the last leg of his transport bring him to Cle Elum for me!  It's great to see who Skittles is just flourishing with his mom and I enjoy catching up with the little snugglebug! 

 Since Skittles and Sylvester get along pretty good - I thought I would take them to the pet store on a Y harness... They did good together... I don't think Skittles was totally thrilled but Sylvester didn't mind a bit.  They enjoyed checking out the store and sniffing things... Sylvester did try to pee on a few things so I took him back out for a potty break and that seemed to do the trick. 

No greats with people as I wasn't sure how either of them would do being linked to each other... rather just let them check out the store and then tendon treats for the trip home!  They were super cute together and did really well on the leash.. I think Skittles was a big help since he's such a pro at the leash and! led most of the way

Rah Rah Rah!

He wears the Seahawk scarf showing his team spirit and doesn't seem top mind it but did seem a little perturbed when I pulled it on top of his head...but he's very handsome with it I think!  even as a hoodie :) 

he's not showing himself to be much of a burrower for nap times; though when it gets colder, I think he may change his mind!
