Good Times

How excited was Sandy to thieve a Styrofoam soup cup...So excited!   Admittedly, I took a picture before exchanging the cup for a toy...she knew it was happening and just tried to lick as much as possible as fast as she could!  Her head disappeared in the cup!

She is a sweet little thing and has the doggie door down pat... I was excited to see that when it snows, it didn't deter her a bit and she doesn't seem to mind the snow at all!    Maybe we will get some more and she can play in it!

The Wonderful Red Spot

FOUND IT!  (Cassie did)... Sandy's favorite thing... Chasing the ever elusive RED DOT!   She just plain tuckered herself out trying to catch it but just couldn't quite get 'em.

 She ran, she twisted, turned this way and that... She had so much fun and her tail was going about 1000 miles a minute... Tomorrow she will try to catch him again!

Sandy Snood!

My neighbor Kimberlee made Sandy this cute little snood for Sandy to keep her neck warm ... it is pretty cute and Sandy is down right adorable in it and didn't mind wear it a bit!  I am pretty sure it keeps her cozy and warm for her potty breaks and being outside so totally WORTH IT!  I'm sure Sandy agrees! 

Lookin' Good

Sandy is a pretty little dog - love this nose shot... and she is learning quite quickly to cues.. She's very food motivated.... This week she will be practicing her "sit" before eating... I have no doubt she will have it down in no time!

A New Friend!

 My neighbor has a visitor dog friend over so we brought Sandy over for some playtime...

First she met a cat and this one she did very well with, sniffing and then backing off at a hiss (or 4)... No barking or chasing after her when she left...

It took her just a few minutes to decide Lucy was a fun friend...

Sandy and Lucy Video - watch the video.. Sandy was pulling some flying squirrel leaps of the couch at her... Lucy didn't mind a bit.. They both did a lot of playing and later got some tasty. hot dog snacks for showing nice sits!

Dog Day Afternoon

Took Sasha and Sandy to the dog park yesterday... Met a nice man with 3 dogs... Oh boy, everyone had fun!   Sasha snarked a couple of times and tried to be a fun sponge, but everyone was having to much fun to be worried about her and she got into the chasing too, though she's a little slower than the youngins

 Sandy has good dog manner and so did her new friends... They hung out, chased, sniffed together and peed together!  I was glad that I put the orange dog sweater on her so I could spot her!

 Sandy made friends with the puppy and they chased a lot!  If Sandy thought she was going to get caught, she would let out a squeak, at first it worried me, what she hurt?  No, just being a bit of a drama queen.

All and all, it was a great visit, gave some much needed energy blow out for Sandy... We came home with some tired and dusty dogs!

A Little Shout of to Sasha (And Sandy smelling her feet)

Sasha, 12 years young... She's been with me and Cassie since she was 1 1/2 years and owner surrendered.  She came from a house with a dozen other Pom/Chi mixes, not house trained as they all went potty in the basement and a fanatic for chasing the tennis ball....She's been friend and companion and sometimes I swear Cassie and her act like real siblings... She's on thyroid meds these days, she's getting grey, joints a little achy and her eyes are getting cloudy but she still loves that tennis ball and she's never turned down laying on, or snuggling in my clean clothes...

it really sucks, she's extra sheddy this winter due to the mild weather...but it warms her bones, so I let her be, I love her.
