Sandy = Adorable!

Sandy has many adorable qualities... She is playful, but has an off switch and enjoys snuggles and naps equally as much as play and walks... She lets you hold her about anyway you want to and even let you grab her paws to take a million pictures of them.  She also flops on her back to patiently await a belly rub!  She is much different and confident when she arrived a couple of weeks ago... She still likes to get underfoot from time to time but less often as time goes by... She is about the most talkative foster to date, whines, grunts, howls, and barks... Not annoyingly so, but just communicating!

She also love play tug with me with her Christmas toy!  She rattie shakes all toys she encounters and enjoys an occasional de-stuffing... She will play fetch for a bit, but seems to prefer just getting her nibble on!

Oh Sandy!

What a pretty girl!  When Sandy got here, she was about 8.7lbs, pretty skinny and some really protruding hip bones... Now she is now 9.4 and not so bony, just trim and looking good...

Those light brown spots on her cheeks?  I call them her kissie spots!  The white blaze on her forehead?  Scratch it and and she will fall under your spell (and asleep!)

I'm in a BOX!

Maybe Sandy is part cat... dunno... but when I was cleaning up, I stuck a dog bed in an old box (that i used to keep shoes in) and made herself at home immediately.  She snuggled in and didn't leave, even if I moved the box.  When she left to go potty, she came right back to her new box bed  She slept in the box all night long and when Cassie got home, after breakfast and play, put herself back in her dog box for a morning nap!

Napping Together

Sasha may not be a ton of fun with the foster dogs when it comes to playtime, but acceptance always comes though napping together... She is finally letting Sandy get closer during naptime.  (I think Sandy would cuddle up to her if Sasha would let her - ummm....sorry Sandy, but that probably won't be happening anytime soon) Butt to butt napping may be in her future though - LOL

Going to the pet store!

Took Sandy to a bigger pet store Saturday.  She was nervous about where we were going and wasn't quite sure she wanted to go in the store, but once in the store, she was a happy, curious little sniffer.

 YUMMY treats, may I have another if I sit pretty?

 She wanted to meet everyone, sniff everything, see everything.. We went to leave and she didn't want to go!

 But then she found this tree and bark area, with I'm sure hundred of smells on it and was once again 

in her sniffing zone...

  AWWW, time to go home (but if you look closely, you will see she scored a tasty bone for the ride home)
and when we got home... Apple treats... she wasn't sure of them at first but she got pretty excited about them before long. 

Late Night Treat Time

Sandy rides well in the car.. .I have a doggie booster seat in the back seat and she just sat in there, quiet and calm while I made a late night stop at my daughter's work at a coffee shop...

Once there, she got to sit on my lap... she wasn't sure what we were doing, but I'm sure the smells were interesting...

 And then she spots Cassie!  Tail starts a waggin!

 Then she gets her treat!  She forgets all about Cassie and me and noms down on some yummy whipped cream and dog treats

 Who's a happy girl with a tummy full of whipped cream?  SANDY!
