I'm Adopted!

Selma is adopted!  We are going to miss her but she is heading off to a wonderful couple in Portland Oregon.  She is going to get to go on a tons of hikes and make lots of dog (and people) friends in her neighborhood.   She is in for a great life!

Beach Time!

We also took the girls (and ourselves) over to Whidbey Island... This was at Clinton at the waterfront... Sadie did great until we come to some running water... She said no way... I found some rocks and thought maybe she would cross them as she did so well with the planks early but nope... She doesn't cross streams!  :)

The girls didn't get to come out at the Alpaca farm... but what cuties.. It was rescue/retirement farm of Alpacas, llamas and goats... love it.. Though they stare a lot and I felt a little judged.. of what I'm not sure...i'm sure it was all good things.  but i loved their faces and big gooby eyes!  If you are in the area, go see her... Paradise Found Fiber Farm you will learn tons about these wonderful animals from Mary and she has  lovely yarn and products made 100% from the animals at her farm!

Last stop was Double Bluff.. an off leash beach area... we didn't unleash the puppies but leashed them to each other and kept a close eye.. Selma did pretty good.. a little vocal in her greets but she got better as she got into the groove.. some of the big dogs worried her a bit and she ran away but for her first experience it was positive and she loved exploring!  Sadie was nervous in the beach area with all the other dogs so I held her and kept her warm in my jacket until we got away from the busy areas

The girls slept like a rocks on the way home; we wore them out well!... they were troopers in their crates too... Selma is defiantly the more eager, wanting to meet people and dogs; Sadie more reserved - she just needs practice and positive experience.

More training!

Isa set up a little course and had each of the girls walk through it... it was fun to watch...  Selma and Sadie were so into it... Selma not so sure of the blocks at first, but she got it quick enough!

Selma met herself some rabbits... She did try to intimidate them with some soft barks.. they made her a little nervous, but she was easily pulled away onto other things to see... Sadie found an opening in the fence and worked on being a noisy neighbor.. (I'm sure she learned it from the #1 noisy neighbor, my Sasha).

Learning new things!

Spent the weekend over in Seattle.  Our first stop after picking up the girls from an overnight stay with Angela and Skittles was my friends house (girl scout cookie pick up - yummm) on Sunday.    While Selma got busy getting her runs in and checking out the new sights, smells and sounds, Sadie got very focused and got some training lessons in from Isa, my friends daughter.

Selma is very quick and smart, so it was great to see little Sadie getting her chance to shine!  Selma got to work on a some recall and burn some energy off too!

Selma runs!

 Training time for Sadie...

Great videos of Sadie - she did so great and just took too it right away... Did not get a good video of Selma who did pretty good too, but Sadie was a natural.  Sadie Walking the Plank

3 Peas in a Pod!

Sunshinny Day!

Sadie and Selma are getting into some serious bird watching in the front yard... they are fascinated by all the birds that were out there!
Sadie got to do some serious exploring of the back yard and all the ivy that's out there was super interesting to her sniffer!  (btw... she is using the doggie now all on her own!) with the sun out and all so bright and cheery

Then lot of play with the two pups... Sasha and Skittles watching from afar as these two chase each other

 Good day!

Selma Selfies

Selma - she is such an angel...when sleeping!  haha.. Love it when she is tired and snuggly
and into cuddling... she's a doll... When awake, she is busy and likes to play and run around playing with toys... She's smart and loves the food puzzles we have been giving her too.   We've found she's quite the climber and can climb right out of the 6 foot xpen!
A noise woke her (okay, I did it)...but what a cute face -worth it!

Sadie Selfies

Cute little Sadie finally let me get some pictures of her not sleeping!    She's super cute and likes to be near (as in right now, she's in my lap squished in front of the laptop, she doesn't mind me talking about her though).

She sleeps usually under the covers, but likes to sometimes sleep on her back, belly up too...  She is mellow and calm but little bursts of being crazy, running around, playing with Selma, chewing on toys - then it's back to cuddle time with her person.

Chillin'

.I slacked in my blogging last week; being busy with other things;  but got cute pictures to make up for it... i do i do

Selma and Sadie play ALOT!  it's pretty cute...  once Selma (the only time I've seen) didn't seem to want to play and Sadie barked and barked at her... It was something she was not expecting and frustrating to her and it was surprising to her bark.

Sadie does this ALL THE TIME!  Super cute and I've been wanting to get a picture... you are holding her and she wants to look at someone... she doesn't turn her head.  nope.   she just looks at that person upside down... chin scritches encouraged!

And while Selma is busy annd sometimes pretty squirmy if you want to hold her; when she's tired..she's just the best little snuggle bug in town.
